MEDITATION SEEMS TO BE PROFITABLE, NOT ANXIETY
Have you ever met some folk who say they don’t want to think about anything? Or say that the doctor asked them not to think because they have hypertensive sickness or symptoms? Humans are created with a unique ability that can be referred to as thinking faculty otherwise called rationality. We possess logical ability and it is one of the things that make us different from each other or animals.
I will shed more light on the difference between meditation and anxiety:
Using the American English dictionary, meditation is a contemplative discourse, often on a religious or philosophical subject. As to meditate will simply means to contemplate or keep the mind fixed upon something.
While anxiety is define as an unpleasant state of mental uneasiness, nervousness, apprehension and obsession or concern about some uncertain event or things.
Using above definitions, in order to buttress my point: this is not to debate the origin of thought (whether, it’s the brain or soul that performs it). I am concern that meditation is having a kind of thought pattern that is good or healthy for one. Mediation is more of a mental exercise that helps to think, rethink and consider events or subjects (religious thoughts or not) you choose to. It may be in order to evaluate their implication and effect when making life decisions.
On the other hand, anxiety has to do with negative act or mental state. It is more of worrying about things that you are uncertain about neither do you have control over in the physical world. Anxiety has to do more with our physical needs, pleasures of life and desires or wants. It is actually looks absurd to worry about religious or spiritual things.
For Christian (religious folks), we have two powerful scriptures of the bible that tells us that meditation is good and produce good result (success) that can be brought to the physical world (earth). They are:
“This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and you shall deal wisely and have good success.” Joshua 1:8 AMP
“Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.” 1Timothy 4:15KJV
It’s up to you what you meditate on, but know that it will definitely product result. Goodly meditation will surely produce good success. Why not meditate on spiritual matters or subjects and bring the physical manifestation to your world and society. This was the secret people like Confucius discovered in their early days and built his religion tenet on.
“Your thought is stirred by another thought, idea or something else”
Thoughts could come to you in different ways, through your physical senses (sight, hear, touch, smell), spiritual senses or matters, social or relationship events and many other ways. Just remember to meditate on the right, good and motivating ones because it will surely produce result.
Note: this article is aimed to suggest “meditation” in our daily activities for positive or good results and how powerful it is to meditate.
What do you meditate or think on?

Thought For Thoughts
... because we will think and act.
This is a very nice piece. Thanks to the writer and I hope to see more of this. Personally, I'm this kind of person that I get affected a lot when I'm worried or too anxious, but over time, I realized there were better ways to control one's thoughts during challenging times and as you've mentioned above, I have replaced my anxieties and worries with good and positive thoughts. People really need this, thanks once again
ReplyDeleteAwesome! challenges are part of life so we must learn to overcome them, even though its not as easy as it sounds.

Yeah, no amount of guilt can change the past and no amount of anxiety can change the future. Anxiety is a negative thing. My boo do tell me always think positive .
